Highlights include shooting the total solar eclipse in Wyoming, meeting with Australia’s Governor General in Canberra to discuss the role of VR in education (link), and working on the earliest implementations of Google Tango devices in the enterprise space.
I worked with Google Tango’s enterprise AR partners Caterpillar, General Motors, among others, to make a series of individual short documentary films covering the early implementations of Tango AR devices in the workforce.
After working with Google's Eclipse Megamovie team, I pitched the idea of filming the August 21st solar eclipse in virtual reality. The result was featured both on Google's official YouTube channel and on YouTube's curated VR channel.
I shot and edited this using ‘overcapture’, a brand new style of flattening a 360-degree stitched video into a traditional 2D canvas and then animating movements within the flattened image itself.
Outfront tasked me with capturing what it feels like to experience the NYC subway and their new Liveboard technology in 360.
I shot numerous VR pieces all over the world for Google Expeditions, all of which are available on the Expeditions app. Here’s me at the University of Michigan’s nanofabrication lab.
